Valentines Day Crunch?

Today saw 4 of the big former bank bosses apologise over the banking crisis that has crippled the UK economy.  Will the current crunch mean the frivolous spending of previous years will be no more as people watch the pennies or is the easiest way to say 'I love you' still by splashing out on a meal for two, large box of chocolates, huge bouquets of flowers or a romantic weekend to Rome!

You could of course save money and still show your love by putting some effort in!  Instead of eating out at £75/head, stay in and cook for your loved one.  For excellent recipe ideas check out uktv.co.uk.  You could also go out and pick flowers instead of buying however please be careful not to trespass when picking plants and never take material from a nature reserve or protected site without permission (thewildflowersociety)
