Gap Fairs Tonight!

Once again Quest Overseas will be at a couple of Gap Fairs this evening, ready and waiting to answer any questions you might have about our projects, Africa and South America or just for a general chat about taking a Gap Year.

Andy and Jon will be at St Swithun's School in Winchester from 6:30-8pm and Heather and I will be holding the fort at King's College School in Wimbledon also from 6:30-8pm.

Natures Great Events-Botswana's Okavango Delta

Tonight on BBC1 it will be the next part of 'Natures Great Events'. The episode will follow the annual flooding of Africa's biggest in land Delta in Botswana as the rains filter down from Angola. Highlight of the program are elephants carefully using their tusks to siphon off clean drinking water from stagnant pools.

Congrats to Red Nose Day Kilimanjaro Climbers

Congratulations are in order for the celebrities who climbed Kilimanjaro in order to raise money for comic relief. Amazingly all of the celebrities (and numerous film crew/producer types) who attempted the mountain made it to the summit and so far they have raised £1,526,127 for Comic Relief's campaign to help reduce the numbers of people dying from Malaria every year. Well Done!

Chicken week 2009! Weird Eggs?!

Already support has started coming in for chicken week. If you would like to donate then simply go to www.justgiving.com/chickenweek. All the money raised will go to Quest4Change to support all our grass roots projects in South America and Africa.

This week the first ever bowling pin shaped egg has been laid in Northamptonshire. Natalie Wiltshire the owner said 'I've done a bit of research and there's nothing to suggest you should ever get eggs in this shape'.
