African Footballers make their stamp on Europe

Much of Africa has a love a fair with the beautiful game. From North to east, central to the south, people love to play and watch football. Minibuses strewn with the Red Devils or the Gunners can be seen from Kenya to Swaziland and everywhere in between. Everyone knows David Beckham and South African satelite airs more premiership games than Sky and Santanta put together!

Over the last two nights the best of African football has come to Europe and cemented the continent as a hotbed of talent to rival that of South America and Europe. Drogba, Adebayor and Eto'o scored for their respective clubs and Essien dominated to help Chelsea to a 3-1 victory over their closest rivals Liverpool in the Premiership.

Excitement is already building for the world cup in 2010! Hopes will be high for a first world cup win from an African Nation.
