Comic Relief - Red Nose Day...All Day...Today!

For the chance to see Robbie Williams dressed as a little girl and French and Saunders last ever sketch tune into BBC1 from 7pm tonight and watch the Comic Relief TV Extravaganza. For a taste of the former delight have a look at the clip on the BBC News Page!

Comic Relief this year is aiming to raise a record £40million to help disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa. Some of the projects and initiatives include providing resources to combat Malaria throughout Africa (i.e. mosquito nets), improving healthcare services across Sub-Saharan Africa with the aim to reduce the maternal mortality rate (which can be as high as 1 death per 8 births compared to a rate of 1 in 8,200 in the UK) and within the UK increasing awareness and services for those with mental health problems.

These are only a couple of the causes that money raised by Comic Relief will be helping. Take a look at the Red Nose Day 2009 Website for more information about where all the donations will be heading.

If you would like to do your bit to provide a brighter future for African communities, take a look at our projects in Tanzania, Malawi, Kenya and Swaziland here!
